Third Reich Souvenir Bracelet Cruise Ship Oceana
From the Hapag KdF Cruise Ship “OCEANA”

This is a wonderful unusual period piece. A Third Reich silver charm bracelet with two tiny but colorful enameled regatta-type flags and six additional charms that spell out the name of the KdF ship OCEANA. It is made of what appears to be silver metal and the enamel is definitely hard fired cloisonné and NOT painted enamel.

Originally chartered to the KdF in 1935, the Oceana was purchased by the DAF (the Deutsche Arbeitsfront, the parent organization of the KdF) in 1938. At 8,790 tons, this twin-screw liner was the smallest and oldest vessel in the KdF fleet. In 1945, the Oceana was turned over to the British. In 1946 she was acquired by the Russians, finally, to be scrapped in 1958.

This 6-½ inch (165 mm) long Nazi era bracelet was purchased as a souvenir by a passenger on the KdF ship the Oceana. A unique Third Reich piece in very good condition, exactly as shown.
