Very nice untouched Wehrmacht M40 Combat helmet with battle damage.
“ET” maker code marked which is “Eisenhuttenwerk Thale” in size “64” the original liner is size “56”
The helmet is in 98% of its original rough M40 style field grey camo paint.
The helmet has initials of the soldier who did wear this helmet.
The helmet has battle damage, it got hit with a bullet from inside out, probably it lay in the field or hung on a vehicle, its for sure at the moment of the hit nobody did wear the helmet, otherwise it would be full with tracés of blood. Its almost sure the helmet got hit twice and the rounds hit true the liner side and ons round came inside out true tge steelpot
Overal a fantastic piece of history in very good condition.
