Late war version of the M42 stick grenade pouches
Found in a house in the “Dutch” village of “Capelse Veer” near “Waalwijk” where in “1944” a “Fallschirmjäger” unit defended there “Bridgehead” defensive position for the time of 3 months. From November “1944” until 31 January of “1945” the batlle did cost “1200” killed, wounded and missing in action men. Poorly equipped Fallschirmjägers did saw action against British, Norwegian, Polish and Canadian Forces. Although these pouches where officially to carry several M24 stick grenades, these pouches where found for several years ago in “Capelse Veer” full with Wehrmacht first aid bandages! One of the Pouches has a cloth name tag inside. The pouches are in used but very good condition. (We found photo with Fallschirmjäger soldiers, wearing these type of M24 stick grenade pouches. Very rare to find!
