Beautiful visor for an NCO in Fj Rgt 1. 
Marked inside the leather sweatband “5./Fallschirmjäger Regt.1”
The visor (Schirrmutze) is made by “Carl Halfar, Berlin” in size “56.5” and dated “1939”
An Fj Rgt 1 collector on WAF has the 1939 roster for the unit and said the initials "C.O." in the hat are for "Christian Oksenbauer."  He left Fj Rgt1 and became a weapons instructor in the Lehrabteilung of Fj Rgt 3.  He survived the war because he shows up as attending reunions in the 1960s.
